Poetic Recovery is a great fit for your orgazation. as your clients, students, or members will have a full understanding of the power of culture through accessing tools that will allow them to help build networks, be heard, and seen: as well as take on challenges facing our communities, our country, and the world in the 21st century.
Poetic Recovery was created to address the damage done by cultural exploitation and appropriation. As the founder of Poetic Recover I have developed alcohol and drug free regular and annual events that encourage healing, recovery, and building community through cultural expression. At Poetic Recovery events, everyone practices interpersonal and cross-cultural communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and writing skills.
Poetic Recovery Seeks Sponsorship or a fee to bring our Annual Poetic Recovery Cultural Healing Event, multiple Poetic Recovery Open Mics, or either to your campus, business, or event. Part of humanity's experience is the conflict of joy and pain. At Poetic Recovery attendees learn to confront past pains together to get to the joy on the other side. While Poetic Recovery was created over 20 years ago it has helped me in my 31 years of recovery and address trauma from foster and adopted homes and society at large. It has allowed me to build connections and partnerships which has greatly impacted the lives of many people in the past that have go on to live healthier and successful lives. When we raise funds we will use the funds to offset cost for low income organizations or residents in low income communities so that everyone can have access to our clinics and workshops.
